Pat Dolan, Sharon Brady, and I have been enjoying a COVID-19 project since March 22, 2020. Each day one of us sends a poem to the group. We paint a picture using the poem as a prompt. We text the pictures to each other. The paintings include themes of protecting the environment and wildlife, inner search, current events, death, grief, dreams, the cosmos, mythology and ancestors.The anticipation of reading the day’s poem gives me great joy and making the painting is a way to explore my feelings.
Pat Dolan, Sharon Brady y yo, hemos estado disfrutando de un proyecto del COVID-19 desde el 22 de marzo de 2020. Cada día, una de nosotras envía un poema al grupo. Pintamos un cuadro usando el poema como guía. Nos mandamos mensajes de texto con las imágenes. Las pinturas incluyen temas de protección del medio ambiente y la vida silvestre, búsqueda interior, eventos actuales, muerte, dolor, sueños, el cosmos, mitología y antepasados. La anticipación de leer el poema del día me da una gran alegría y hacer el cuadro es una forma de explorar mis sentimientos.
