Living in isolation and trying to stay safe and sane during this pandemic has been both overwhelming and odd. When I wake up and feel inspiration stir deep in me I make the most of it. My camera has been my go-to for capturing moments reflective of my immediate surroundings. Letting my imagination run wild and free by adding music, GIFs, clipart and text to my images allows me to feel unconstrained even if just for seconds. The inspiration that comes from those moments make me feel alive, happy and connected. Now I live for those moments where art and sanity are a delicate fine balance between connection and isolation.
Vivir aislada y tratar de mantenerte sana y a salvo durante esta pandemia ha sido abrumador y extraño. Cuando me despierto y siento que la inspiración se agita profundamente en mí, lo aprovecho al máximo. Mi cámara ha sido mi opción para capturar momentos que reflejan mi entorno inmediato. Dejo a mi imaginación correr y agrego música, regalos, imágenes prediseñadas y texto a mis imágenes que me permiten sentirme libre aunque solo sea por unos segundos. La inspiración que surge de esos momentos me hace sentir viva, feliz y conectada. Ahora vivo para esos momentos donde el arte y la cordura son un delicado equilibrio entre la conexión y el aislamiento.
