My work is always about making a statement -sometimes subtle and sometimes bold. In relation to making statements, I believe people should shape their own voice and their own thoughts. With respects to the guidelines for this Call to Artists, these images that I have submitted are a commitment to that pursuit of having my own thoughts. They are reflections of what is happening here in the US both to us and by us [as a response]. These are bold statements, some of which were made by people at large and some made by me in response to the difficult situations that have occurred during this current US Administration. It is of no use to anyone to deny these events or these difficulties we are all experiencing. It is healthy to face them and create our own thoughts and our own responses.
