I am a Photographer. My current work consists mainly of Street Photography. I will on occasion do staged scenes and abstract work. I capture images of people that are engaged in intense or mindless activities. These could consist of gambling, buying, selling, or arguing. I then work on the images so the viewer will feel and understand the emotional state of the person. Naming the image gives the viewer a clue about the activity the subject is pursuing. Color in many these photographs produces an unnecessary distraction. My staged works are different. I attempt to make an image that is not immediately understood but quickly raises questions. The many things going on in an image may at first confuse the viewer. Searching the image and wondering what it is about is the whole idea. If a viewer looks but does not think I have not done my job.
Soy fotógrafo. Mi trabajo actual consiste principalmente en fotografía callejera. A veces preparo escenificaciones y trabajos abstractos. Capturo imágenes de personas que participan en actividades intensas o sin sentido. Estas pueden ser apuestas, compras, ventas o discusiones. Luego trabajo en las imágenes para que el espectador sienta y entienda el estado emocional de la persona. Nombrar la imagen da al espectador una pista sobre la actividad que el sujeto está llevando a cabo. El color en muchas de estas fotografías produce una distracción innecesaria. Mis trabajos escenificados son diferentes. Intento producir una imagen que no se entienda de inmediato pero que rápidamente plantee preguntas. Las muchas cosas que suceden en una imagen pueden al principio confundir al espectador. Buscar en la imagen y preguntarse de qué se trata es la idea principal. Si un espectador mira pero no piensa, no he hecho mi trabajo.
