With ample rain and warm days, the wild flower display across the foothills of the Catalinas was exceptional in March of 2020. The threat of Covid19 was still far away, challenging the lives of those outside of Southern Arizona. But there was a sense stirring that all could change, and our valley might not be as insulated from the world as we hoped. Slowly, but inevitably, the sense of doom descended on us.
