As I have been trying to keep myself and my kids healthy, centered, and well balanced, we have gone on as many hikes as we could, getting out into the desert whenever possible. (These hikes helped me find images that became paintings). Beauty, renewal, and, even in a sense, temporality. And the need to capture and feel beauty when it is with us. Flowers and the Sonoran Desert landscape are things which have lessened my burdens during this hard time -feeling the great hand of nature over all our worries.
Para tratar de mantenerme a mí y a mis hijos sanos, centrados y bien equilibrados, hemos hecho tantas caminatas como hemos podido, saliendo al desierto siempre que ha sido posible. (Estas caminatas me ayudaron a encontrar imágenes que se convirtieron en pinturas). Belleza, renovación, e incluso en cierto sentido, temporalidad. Y la necesidad de capturar y sentir la belleza cuando está con nosotros. Las flores y el paisaje del desierto de Sonora han disminuido mi carga durante esta difícil temporada – sentir la gran mano de la naturaleza sobre todas nuestras preocupaciones.
